Terrasip launches the Free Call Button - the first toll free VoIP number
TerraSip has developed a new service which gives customers Freecall functionality at the click of a mouse - without using a conventional toll free number. TerraSip's 'Free Call' Button represents a very effective implementation of this new technology. The button provides a way of accessing a VoIP account at no cost to the caller. The customer enters his telephone number in a field on a web page and then clicks the button. This triggers a return call from the provider to the customer. As with a normal freecall number there is no charge to the customer and the provider only has to pay the usual cheap VoIP rate charged by TerraSip - e.g. 1 cent per minute for UK or 1.4 cents for the whole of the rest of Europe. That represents a significant difference compared to conventional freecall numbers. And even the extra cost of forwarding is only charged at cheap internet telephony rates. Individual phone extensions or departments within a company can be reached on their own Free Call Button. The provider/website owner can keep full control of his costs through his prepaid account. It is up to him to decide whether to invest e.g. 10 € or 500 € monthly for this marketing instrument. The costs which accrue are on average 90% less than those of conventional freecall or shared cost numbers. Especially small and medium sized businesses which have so far not been able to afford to maintain close customer contacts in this way can benefit a great deal. Tailor made solutions can also easily be created for inbound and outbound Call Center calls. Expensive special numbers can be dispensed with completely or at least in part. Free Call is ideal for internationally active companies because it easily crosses national boundaries. It can be used wherever internet access is available and at the same cost as normal VoIP usage.
